Brit Insurance appoints Jonathan Nunes-Carvalho as Divisional Underwriting Director, Property and Space

Brit Insurance Holdings PLC, today announces the appointment of Jonathan Nunes-Carvalho as Divisional Underwriting Director, Property and Space, in its Global Markets division. He will report to newly-appointed Brit Global Markets CEO, Matthew Wilson.

Jonathan has over 20 years experience in the London Market and has been at Brit Insurance since 2001, joining as an International Property Underwriter. In 2003, he was promoted to Class Underwriter for US and Canadian Commercial and Residential Facilities for Brit Syndicate 2987. Prior to joining Brit Insurance, he spent six years at H.G. Jago & Others, where he was Class Underwriter for Direct and Facultative Property, writing a worldwide book in a broad range of classes, including industrial, commercial, residential and motor. He has also held Underwriting Management and Underwriting positions at Sun Alliance overseas and R.C.Barber. He began his career at Standard Bank in South Africa.
