Brit Insurance appoints Eddie Wattenbach to its Professional Indemnity team

Brit Insurance Holdings PLC, ("Brit Insurance"), the UK-based international general insurance and reinsurance group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eddie Wattenbach as UK and International Professional Indemnity Underwriter.

Based in Brit Insurance's Global Markets division, he reports to Ian Noble and takes up his position immediately.

Eddie joins Brit Insurance from Atrium Syndicate 570, where he spent two years as International Liability Underwriter and a member of the syndicate management group. Prior to this, he spent 12 years at Beazley Syndicate 623, where he headed up the International Liability team writing Financial Institutions, Commercial PI, D&O and General Liability business and was the Chairman of Asia Pacific Underwriting Agency (Hong Kong). In his 26 years in the insurance industry he has also worked for Leslie & Godwin, Bain Clarkson and Special Risks Services.

Jennifer Martin, International Legal & Professional Divisional Underwriting Director, commented, "Eddie is a great asset to the Division and he fully complements our International PI team particularly with his expertise and experience in working with overseas Coverholders and underwriting Binding Authorities.
